The
Black Hills Maze Background
The Black Hills Maze was constructed in 1991 by a local couple following their family experience in a Maze in the Northwest. The Maze is constructed of pressure-treated Douglas Fir, and it covers over 39,000 square feet. It has four second-level bridges and four second-level towers. Local residents Conrad and Reone Rupert purchased the Black Hills Maze in 1998. Since then additions and upgrades have included the Maze Mountain climbing wall, Roller Racers, and the Batting Cage. A paint ball court (onsite, but leased as a separate business) was opened in 2000. Conrad is a semi-retired Forester who still does consulting in the off season. Reone is a semi-retired Teacher who still substitutes during the school year. |
